Introducing COCO’s Bilingual Summer Reading Camp 2009
Provide an Excellent Reading Program for Your Child This Summer
Offer them the Tools to Read Well in English and Español
Atlanta, GA; April 23, 2009. Coco, My Spanish Workshop is a learning workshop for children between the ages of One - Adults. Our objective is to offer a safe, loving, and trustworthy environment where students will be able to speak and learn Spanish, while perfecting their English language. For the first time, this Summer, COCO introduces their COCO Bilingual Summer Reading Camp 2009.
For a productive and enjoyable activity with LIFELONG benefits, they have created COCO Bilingual Reading Program. Mavian Arocha will be teaching the programs that will turn your child into an exceptional reader, hence an excellent student. Not only will they have the opportunity to read well in English, with COCO, they will receive the right training to read in Spanish, too.
Entering 2nd and 3rd Grade:
Phonics :: Comprehension :: Independent Reading Skills
The children in this program will gain significant confidence in phonics, sight vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension. As a result, your child will become stronger and build confidence so they can work independently.
Entering 4th-5th Grade:
Fluency :: Comprehension :: Building Decoding Skills
The children in this program will make much gain when it comes to comprehension, and learn fluency, and advanced decoding skills. These tools will help them comprehend more complex books with no difficulty. You child will be able to finish reading assignments much faster and get better grades.
Entering 6th-7th Grade AND 9th-12th Grade:
Speed Reading:: Comprehension :: Study Skills
In these two programs, your children will be able to improve comprehension while doubling their reading speed. Students will learn what are the best ways to read textbooks, take notes, and study for tests. In result, they will be able to complete homework assignments much faster and be motivated by their self-confidence.
Starting June 1, 2009
Camp Meets Once a Week for Two Hours Over a Four-Week Course
*An Extra Four Weeks Can Be Offered if Interested
Maximum of 8 students per two-hour camp
Registration Fee: $25 (non-refundable)
Early Sign-Up by May 11th: $122 per month
Late Sign-up: $144 per month
COCO’s groups are structured to encourage children everyday so they can learn how to create and take advantage of all opportunities to promote language development so that language learning becomes an ongoing, enjoyable, and natural part of a child's life.
