    Top 10 “worthless” college majors?
According to a source, the top ten college majors filter down to the list below, respectively

    Art History
    Philosophy
    American Studies
    Music Therapy
    Communications
    Dance
    English Literature
    Latin
    Film/Theater
    Religion

What’s your take on this? What are some college degrees that can be “worth” graduating with. Also, anyone who is majoring in any of the following, please don’t take offense

I’ve been thinking about majoring in business administration, is this a good idea? Or am I better off not even majoring in business?

Hey, some well known and very successful people have some of these worthless degrees. Like Steve Martin, Bob Bennett, Harrison Ford and Chaim Potok all of whom majored in Philosophy. They just don’t work in their major.
Don’t knock it unless you got it.

Well, it looks like you’re considering all good schools and big universities. But in this case, you should start considering other factors. For example, do you want to be be in central PA, Maryland, or Boston? Are you from PA and will you get in-state tuition? Apply to each of these schools, visit them, and then pick which one you’d liked to attend based on “bigger picture” questions like location, community, and cost.

Personally, I really liked attending school in the Boston area and can speak highly of BU’s reputation, but I know it’s pretty huge. After my parents moved to Maryland, I considered transferring to UMD but I stayed in Massachusetts because I liked the feel of a small liberal arts college on the South Shore much more than a large public university, even if the private education cost more. I actually have several friends who attended Penn State and some family members from PA who attended Pitt. From what I’ve seen, a lot of PA people seem to stay in PA, so consider that if you’re from the Commonwealth, too — I felt as if PA had little to offer me when I was choosing colleges.
