Getting Paid to Learn: Work Study
Work study is an opportunity to earn income while attending classes. It is for students with a demonstrated financial need based on the FAFSA. Employment is usually at the college but may sometimes be based off campus, and often is in a field related to the student’s major.
· Is for both undergraduate and graduate students attending either full or part-time.
· School must participate in the Federal Work Study program (not all schools do.)
· Work hours are limited to the number of hours determined by the demands of your program, etc. You can request that your wages be applied directly to school related expenses such as tuition, fees, etc.
· State and Institutional (funded by college itself) work study opportunities may also be available.
