Deadly Student Sin:Procrastination

Procrastination. A big problem that will sink your college career faster than anything else will. Do not put off assignments, period. Yes, pulling the all-nighter is the stuff of college legend. It is romanticized far too much. Let me ask you this: Do you really think you can produce quality work when you've put off starting an assignment far too long? I guarantee that an emergency will come along. For instance, suddenly your two-year old comes down with the flu. Or the dog needs to be taken to the vet for emergency surgery after eating your slippers. There are endless disastrous scenarios you could dream up. 

Especially with writing assignments, you need time to revise your work. When you get an assignment, you need to start on it, pronto. More than likely, you’ll be juggling more than one class that will compete for your time, as well as have tests and quizzes popping up all the time. A deadline for an assignment can seem along time away, but with the other demands on your time, it will be here much sooner than you think. So turn off your cell, turn off the t.v. and go to it!
