i know i need an engineering technology associates degree. i also know that a certification is not required for a position as an aerospace engineer, but it is desireable. what certification would i need to obtain? how would i get information on aerospace engineer certifications?
More often than not companies are looking for engineers with a minimum of a Bachelor’s of Science Degree (BS). If it’s an engineering degree you are after, don’t settle for less. The exception is getting an Associate’s Degree as a stepping stone into an accredited college of engineering.
In the US no special certification is required for an aerospace (aeronautical) engineer.
As far as I am aware there are no major companies looking for persons with online degrees in engineering. At this point in time, I do not consider an online degree in engineering to be a marketable commodity.

Need info on Associates Degrees?
I am going to be graduating from college soon with an associates degree in arts and I was wondering what kind of jobs I could get with it and how much I would be earning with it? Hourly? Monthly? Yearly? Anything would be useful. I want to go to pre-med after that and they told me that degree would be the best for me is that true? I live in Texas I don’t know if that helps in any way if it differs from state to state
First off, congratulations! That’s a wonderful accomplishment.
I have a friend who just finished graduate school in Atlanta. He said the heat could be too much sometimes. However, he loved the city and the culture and the experience. He said it was full of nice folks, great places to eat, and an academically rewarding place to be.
I can’t speak for the places in Texas. But people seem to really like Hot-lanta.
Your degree is probably an “Associate of Arts” in a major. For example, it may say “Associate of Arts in Computer Programming” or “Associate of Arts in Natural Sciences.” I’ve never heard of a degree labeled simply “arts.” The kinds of jobs you can get depend on what the major area of study was. In most cases, an Associate of Arts degree involves a lot of general education, such as English composition, history, math, and basic sciences, and the degree is intended to allow you to continue into a four-year school and get a bachelor’s degree. It is impossible to predict what kind of money you will make in any job you get because there are too many factors involved. It depends on what the job is, where it is, what the company generally pays, and so on. The good thing about living in Texas is that all of your general education credits from your associate’s program will transfer to a four year school (it’s the state education board’s rule) so you are well prepared for a four year degree.
