Associates Degree Online
Business associate is an individual, group or an organization which participates or performs some activities on behalf of the Covered Entity in a capacity as a business partner and is not member of the workforce of the Covered Entity. The Privacy Rule lists some of the functions or activities, as well as the particular services, which makes a person or entity Business Associate, if the activity or service involves the use or disclosure of protected health information. The types of functions or activities that may make a person or entity a business associate includes payment or health care operations activities, as well as other functions or activities regulated by the Administrative Simplification Rules.
The new amendment to HIPAA Privacy and Security rule recently passed by Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act (HITECH Act) and which came into effect from February 17, 2010 makes it mandatory for all the Covered entities to revise their Business Associate Contract. This has increased the scope of the law as more entities are obliged to follow the HIPAA compliance norms. At same time the amendment adds more responsibilities on the existing Business Associates.
The Covered Entities and their existing Business Associates now have to re-negotiate their existing contracts to achieve HIPAA compliance. The Business Associates now on, have to take adopt additional procedures to completely fulfill the physical, administrative, technical and documentation requirements of the rule. The amendment makes it mandatory for the Business Associate to report loss of unsecured data to the individual patients and/or the public media,depending upon scale of the violation.
The new regulatory requirements make it necessary for the Business Associate to thoroughly carry out the risk analysis for their systems and infrastructure to know the existent loopholes in the security. The next step is to develop appropriate policy which effectively removes the security loopholes by incorporating technical security measures like email encryption, user account management, auditing and a proper disaster backup plan.
Henceforth the Business Associate will also play a more responsible and active role in secure management of the patient health information, which earlier, before this amendment, was sole responsibility of the Covered Entity.
Business Associate plays important role in preserving the privacy of the patient health information.

To teach physical education you will need a Bachelors degree. It is not an Associate degree.
Check out your Community Colleges in your area to find something in the fitness area that only requires an Associate degree first.
Do people care if I got my associates degree online in web design from a traditional college?
I’m doing an online web design associates degree from a traditional community college. Do people or employers care that much that it’s online?
Anyone doesn’t really care about your degree till you have complete knowledge in whichever course you have done your degree. Moreover it is not mentioned on your degree. Plus employers interest is in the skills that you posses not in the traditional or online degree. So make sure to learn more and sharpen your skills. You may be in traditional college or in online one education is the only motive to achieve.
I doubt it. There is so much lab time required in the first three or four semesters of photography, it would be nearly impossible to get the same quality instruction you get when interacting with your instructor during the process of developing your film looking at your contacts with the instructor and then printing them for the best print using your fellow students and the instructor for ideas on how to best print your images.
Attending the critiques of the assignments with ten to twenty other interpretations of the same assignment is perhaps some of the best learning experiences you can get from the class experience
Usually an associate degree takes two years, though online programs can be a few months shorter, depending on your circumstances (for example, if you’ve taken some college courses already, or have passed a CLEP test to show you’ve gained college-level knowledge from work experience).
Regional accreditation is important. Two regionally accredited colleges that have online criminal justice degree programs are American InterContinental University Online and Colorado Technical University Online. (An AIU online grad recently became the federal marshal for South Carolina). AIU also has a ground campus in Houston.

If you take your courses from a regionally accredited college that has a presence in the real world (buildings and classrooms) then when you go to transfer, the new school won’t know whether you took the courses online or in the classroom. The transcript doesn’t say “English 101 online” – it just says “English 101″ and has your grade. ☺ Chances are, the school you want to attend for the 4-year teaches classes online too.
If you take your courses from someplace like UoP, AIU, DeVry, etc… then you could face some raised eyebrows and challenges. This isn’t because they’re online as much as because they don’t have such a great reputation among other colleges.
